Dries Van Noten’s idea of fall is one of my favourites ever. With his Fall ready to wear collection he provides us with the most exquisite pieces. His theme ‘Grounded glamour’ is a collection full of opposites. Rich-poor, Salon-Street. The glamorous aspect was embroided skirts, sequins, gilding and he managed to give it a wearable vibe by using other elements like boy shorts. He mixed rich fabrics like imperial gold brocade with the casual baggy trousers. Key colours were navy and beige, timeless and efforteles like Mister Van Noten himself. There were also a lot of fur details which I would gladly like to cuddle into on cold autum nights.
Once again Dries Van Noten created a strong, stunning collection. Girly and glamorous details but still embraces female empowerment.
